Don't work harder, work SMARTER

You know that old saying, “Time is money, money is time,” well it’s true. Make better use of your time; the solution is easier than you think.
1) Become a faster reader.
Think about how much of your day is consumed by reading, now imagine cutting that time in half. Read faster without breaking each word down by syllable. It will not only help you move through text faster, but it increases the speed at which you comprehend the material.
2) Make a daily to-do list and determine which tasks could be outsourced or automated.
It’s time stop thinking that no one can do it as good as you. It’s time. Instead, think about all the things you do that could be handed off. Doesn’t have to be a huge project; it can be as simple as cooking dinner or as complex as gathering research for a project.
3) Multitask the right way.
Pair two activities: one that requires thought and one that does not. Kill two birds with one stone by combining a thoughtless task (eating lunch) with a more complex one (responding to emails).
4) Take advantage of the “in between” time.
If you think about all the moments we are waiting: riding in a cab, being on hold, waiting in the coffee line, you could be using these moments for productively! Instead of playing games on your phone, do this:

  • Respond to emails
  • Make a grocery list
  • Organize your calendar

5) Make decisions in the morning.
It’s been proven that the morning, specifically the first two hours after you wake up, is prime decision-making time. You’re at your peak of performance and are able to make
good decisions, and fast.
We live with the mindset that in order to get more, we have to do more. This is not always the case. By tweaking your behavior and the way you delegate responsibility, you can have the ability to grow your business without overexpanding your workload. Learn more!
