Did You Know?

Our email configuration option gives you the capability to configure your own email address with our system. When you sign up for CoVideo an email account is created in order for you to be able to send video emails. Your generic CoVideo email address is yourusername@vidmails.net

Now, with the email configuration feature your contacts can receive emails from the email address they are used to receiving from.

Here are the steps to configure your own email address:

1. Login to your account at www.covideo.com
2. Click on User Options
3. Select Email Configuration.
4. You will need to fill out the following information: SMTP server for outgoing mail, port number, SSL and TLS status, your email address and password.
5. Once you have all of the required information entered, please check the box for “Use this as default” then click on Submit Changes.

After you have filled out the necessary information, please check the box for “Use this as default” then click on Submit
The system will check your settings and if everything is correct, you will receive an email informing you that your CoVideo account has been reconfigured.

For Gmail:
SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 465
SSL : enabled
TLS: disabled

For AOL:
SMTP Server: smtp.aol.com
Port: 587
SSL : disabled
TLS: disabled

For Yahoo:

SMTP Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Port: 25
SSL : disabled
TLS: disabled

For Yahoo Plus (paid Yahoo version):

SMTP Server: plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Port: 465
SSL: disabled
TLS: enabled

For BellSouth.net

SMTP Server: smtp.att.yahoo.com
Port: 465
SSL status: enabled
TLS status: disabled

For Hotmail:

SMTP Server: smtp.live.com
Port: 25
SSL status: enabled
TLS status: enabled
